Earth Day Celebration

A fun and educational experience for the whole family! Booths, exhibits and activities offer information about water quality, energy efficiency, land management, and much more. The Annual Earth Day event at PWELC is a collaborative effort of PWELC, Middle Fork Crow River Watershed, North Fork Crow River Watershed, CROW, MPCA, Kandiyohi County SWCD, dozens of volunteers and over thirty exhibitors.

The 2019 theme:  S.O.S.  - Save Our Species
Keynote presentation:  9am & 11am Audubon Center of the North Woods - Live animal presentation

Pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 am - 10 am. (free will donation)
Sloppy Joes, Hotdogs, and Salads available for purchase starting at 10:00.
Sweet treats for sale by 4H all day.

This year we will have free nitrate testing by the MN Soil & Water District. Please bring a sample of your tap water in a clean, glass jar for testing.

Enjoy food, entertainment, kid activities and information about "greening" your life.   Visit w/ local watershed groups and natural resource professionals.
Other activities: Indoor climbing wall, scavenger hunt, seed bombs, wood duck house building DNR Laser Shot & more. 

Also happening at this event is the Recycled Outdoor Gear Sale. Donate something to this sale or come add to your collection. All proceeds support programing at PWELC.

No pre-registration necessary.
